Vetshops expand to include Gansbaai

Jul 26, 2023 | IN THE NEWS

Vetshops belonging to the EberVet Petcare Group have added another shop to their number, bringing to 9 the stores spread across the Helderberg and Overberg.

The newest shop opened in Gansbaai on 28 July, 2023 and another is planned for Stanford before the end of the year.

EberVet Vetshop CEO, Dr Hilldidge Beer, said the demand for quality pet products was growing as more and more pet owners appreciated the long-term value of feeding their pets the best food they could afford. Keeping an animal healthy throughout its life means fewer vets’ bills in the long term.

The Gansbaai store is staffed by two local residents and is located at Great White Junction, a popular shopping mall in Gansbaai’s main thoroughfare. Other stores at the Junction include a Spar, Crazy Store, Wimpy, bookshop and boutiques.

Vetshops must belong to veterinarians and staff are trained to offer the best nutrition and primary health advice. The EberVet Petcare Group has veterinarians on call should Vetshop shoppers need additional advice.
