This small Karoo town has no resident veterinary surgeon and relies heavily on the volunteers who run its animal welfare organisation, Prince Albert Dieresorg (PADS). EberVet hosts up to three sterilisation clinics a year in the town, during which we also vaccinate, administer parasite control and treat for mange and biliary when necessary. Our clinics run for two days and we can sterilise up to 25 animals per day. Our grateful thanks to veterinary nurse Sr Hilda Mills, a stalwart of our Karoo clinics, whose knowledge and calm presence is of enormous assistance to us and the welfare volunteers.
